We Train You

Through LeSandro’s training experience, he started to notice a pattern of dogs that would go through a training program and listen great to trainers, but once the dog goes home, they would often revert back to their old ways.

This is in no way the dog’s fault, but rather, it is the owner not understanding how to uphold expectations, not knowing how to use training tools effectively, and not understanding their dog’s thought patterns. The way LeSandro addresses this is to put a high emphasis on training the owners to be their own dog trainer. Having a well behaved dog requires the owner to continue holding their dog accountable and is a lifestyle change that LeSandro coaches you through.

Many board and train programs will board your dog for 2 weeks and give a 2-hour integration lesson. We think this will work on occasion, but it is not enough for a dog to truly change and have better manners, training, obedience, ect.

We have a minimum of 3 weeks board and train to better instill new behavior patterns while being fair to the dog. Owners are also asked to come to 2, 1-hour lessons per week and there are an additional 2, 1-hour lessons after the 3 weeks to schedule as needed. This allows for the owner to learn at the same time as their dog is learning. It gives you a foundation and a deep understanding of how to use reinforcement, how to train a new command, how to read and understand your dog through psychology, and how to go into new situations with confidence and trust in you and your dog’s ability.

Quality over Quantity

In order to reach quality results in a 3 - 6 weeks, we greatly limit the number of dogs that are doing a board and train program with us. We only take 4 to 5 dogs at a time that LeSandro and Sarah both train throughout the weeks. Your dog gets several 1 on 1 lessons per day to ensure they are getting the personalized instruction they need.

Every dog is different and so the approach taken to train them is customized to their needs every time.

Not only are they getting lots of 1 on 1 sessions throughout the day, but we take them out on field trips to parks, stores, crowded events, and downtown Knoxville. We only ever take 2 dogs on a field trip at a time and work with them 1 on 1 so they get our full attention.

Continued connection

After any board and train package, you get lifetime call support. We are here to help you keep the training going and answer your questions if problems arise.

In order to help past clients keep training up, we offer Pack Walks to anyone that has gone through a Board and Train program or through the Operation: Loose leash package. This allows you to get practice walking your dog around other dogs in public spaces with distractions. It is a great way to get a refresher on your training and keep your dog challenged.

We also offer boarding to any past clients that have completed a board and train. While they stay with us, we keep all their commands up and work through issues if needed. It is a great way to get your dog a quick refresher and to have more freedom than a typical boarding facility.
